Transcend2010 conceptual public art project in front of a church in University City most of the ladders are borrowed and strapped together with cable ties

its intention is to show how we depend on one another to overcome adversity.

its dedication date of September 11, was chosen as a metaphor about reaching higher, climbing higher over particular obstacles and one of these obstacles is fear.

ladders have been coming from all over the community, the goal is 300 ladders or ladder like structures.

artist is Charlie Brouwer, who has been using the ladder for the past 30 in his art pieces

This weekend was the Missouri River Irish Festival in St Charles. Saturday was very hot and Saturday night a storm blew in with heavy lighting, 60 mph winds and hail the size of marbles and heavy rain. I just got home when the storm hit our area. I can't imagine that happened with all the vendors and beer tents! Haven't hear any bad news and that's good
