on the farm

my best friend and her husband live on a ranch/farm about 50 miles west of st louis. myself and several other friends went to visit this week because c had surgery last week. we were lucky enough to see a new born colt. the little guy is less than 24 hours old and in this picture was falling asleep standing up. they have about 15 horses, a cow (well the cow jumped the fence and they haven't found her yet! several barn cats, a dog, and chickens on several beautiful acres. i love to go there with my grand kids. my grand daughter enjoyed riding the horses a few years ago and took riding lessons for awhile.

barn on laura hill

been away lately, have been getting my dad's house ready for sale, had a baptism, and have been sick, seems like every weekend is super busy and i can't get any thing done. with all the rain the grass is growing a foot a day and that is a 3 hour task that needs to be done each week. i thought the older you get the slower the time flies. even if i wanted to retire, i don't have the time to do it!
