I just found out the St Louis area has a hurling league
Sponsored by the St Louis Gaelic Athletic Association and several pubs
And since I'm obsessed with anything Irish, I've attended a
couple of matches in the past couple of weeks
A fast moving game, I'm still trying to figure out the
mechanics of the game.
now if they would only play in kilts!

Ah, but even at home they don't wear kilts on the hurling field! When I was a young, blushing lass I had a huge crush on a famous hurler who worked with my Dad. He ended up marrying a friend I made when I went to college in Dublin. They'd been courting for years by then......Hurling's not a game for sissies, that's for sure!
Would still make the game more interesting :)
