ok, something to read ok, something to read

so very British, I don't believe I've read anything by Bradford before and this story went

on forever. I will give her another chance, but I don't think I could read all of her books

very good, suggested by Molly

quick read, predictable

another quick read, told in the 3rd person, it was good.

this one was a free friday nook book on barnes and noble. it was ok, some suspense.

really interesting, but didn't really have an ending

So Proud

My oldest son Dave, one of the 700 or so bikers that rode interference

at a young soldiers' funeral today. That crazy church that protest

at soldiers funeral made an appearance at a fallen warrior's funeral.

God bless the family of the fallen warrior and all the bikers

that kept the crazy church at bay

The wetlands days at Busch conservation area

D and I went to "the wetland days for kids" at the Busch Conservation Area

One of the activities was to discover what lives in ponds. First you

scoop up muck from the bottom of the pond.

empty it on a plastic sheet

then you look to see what creatures you might find

I found something!!!

then take it over to a conservation agent to identify it

he couldn't resist

When I was standing before these gates I couldn't help but feel the presence of the

all passengers who went through these gates with high hopes of starting a new

life in American. The excitement, the sorrow of leaving family and friends, wondering

what the days ahead would hold for them! And not one knowing the horror that

awaited them.

new library

this is the before

this is the after. our new library is finally finally open, doubled in size and just wonderful, i've been there 4 or 5 times so far. it so big you can pick up a map to find your way around.

Living room almost finished

got new furniture, two loveseats on sale. got the loveseats because i still plan on going to a apartment after i sell my house and two small couchs are easier to move as well as set up in a small living room. everything i do has a story and my furniture was no different! my son in law and grandson brought it to my house, we unwrapped the loveseats, put the legs on and set upright. as i was picking up the plastic and paper that covered them, i found a envelope marked parts, turns out there were screws that needed to be screwed into the legs into the frame, i did this and as i'm setting the seats back upright, the leg of one landed on the wire to the only lamp i have in the room, shorting it out. so at 8:30 i'm running to target to get a lamp; i paid more for this lamp than i would otherwise but i really needed it in a hurry. the next night was my book club meeting and i wouldn't have time to get one before the girls came over. i think the living room looks nice and i do love my new lamp.

Kitchen completed

the kitchen is finally done! It took a litte over a year to complete everything. When I have extra money I don't have the time and when I have the time I don't have the money! I painted the kitchen cabinets, painted the walls, painted the chairs and legs of the kitchen table, got a new floor, new dishwasher, new microwave, faux finished the counter tops so they look like granite, 2 new light fixtures ( you can't see the one over the table), the fridge is off white but its close enough for me. I wasn't sure how the cabinets would look thought it might make the room too dark, but I think they turned out great
