ymca

this is the reason my blogging has been off and on. last month i joined the y. i have moderate high blood pressure and after dealing with my dad's disease, his death and the selling of his house, the blues set in and i've found out i have bad reactions to depression medication, so thought i'd try exercise and do i feel better. i've only missed 3 days in the past month. i've taken yoga (which i love) and tai chi classes (which are interesting) as well as the weights and treadmill. the treadmills are great, they all have little television and you can watch what ever program you like. since i don't have cable tv this is my motivation to walk a little longer. i workout for an hour after work and by the time i get home and eat dinner, there is not much time to do anything else, but i feel so so much better and a bonus is i've lost about 5 pounds! yahaaaa

tai chi was fun..I really got a sense of calmness... I use to do some just before bed time...
