ornamental grass on the side of the house. kind of looks like a corn plant, grows like a weeds, and the dead stalks at the end of the season looks like bamboo. I'm not sure what it is
clouds in the east, weather today hot and humid, 105 heat index and this is only the middle of June. with all the rain the wild life (suburban type) are multiplying. above is one of the little buggers
this is what i found trying to get home tonight. the yellow curve sign is right by a small creek; in the same area there are a couple of small lakes and some wetlands. this area floods everytime we get alot of rain. today we got something like 2 inches in an hour. it has rained the last 12 out of 15 days. since i live in the area i am aware that this area is prone to flooding, but at night you are in the water before you see it! we are expecting more rain tonight, so the signs will still be up. the creek kind of surrounds the neighborhood and a few years ago water covered both exits out of the subdivision, missed 1/2 day of work that time.
i love a guy that knows how to vacuum. this little guy studies the hand tool advertisements of the newspaper and will name all the hand tools as well as most of the power tools. looks like he is broading his interest!
