our first swimming pool was a army surplus life boat that my dad picked up somewhere. I was 6 and my brother 2 when this was taken. I remember dad jumping in the life boat like it was yesterday, we wanted him to get out so we could get in.

one of d's inventions, taped cars together so he can play with all of them at once. Ok, I'm sure when my kids were 4 they didn't know the word invention or if they did they didn't talk about inventing things. D is always inventing things, and explaining his ideas to us. He wants to invent a scooter with an unbrella so you can ride in the rain. He is always building things with his tinkertoys and blocks. Think he gets it from his dad and great grandpa.

the pool is waiting. Unfortunely just as the swim lesson started, a storm blew in. It rained for about 3 minutes, then got hot and steamy again. Lesson postponed until next week
Brit broke her foot the first day of vacation, thinking she just twisted an ankle she didn't go to the doctor until returning home. It's broke, 8 weeks in a cast and more weeks in therapy. No more working ( she is a life guard and no cheer leading when school starts)
