my grandson and some of his friends hit an icy patch of road and flipped their car over. He ended up with a concussion and a broken nose, but thank God this was the worst they had.

Chromecast
This handy little device was a Christmas present. I don't have cable tv so I am limited to the television I can watch, just local channels; But with this gizmo I can use my nook to broadcast tv, movies, youtube and other things from the internet. I will be purchasing a membership to Netflix soon to catch up on my movie watching.

Reading
D and D both received Nooks from me for Christmas. They love them and both are reading a lot. D is reading short chapter books (he is in 1st grade) and D is reading the "read to me" books. Since I am such a voracious reader, I want the littles to be readers too! I tell them that if they can read they can do anything.

Snow in December
This is the snow we received in December. It was 15 inches with below 0 windchill factor. Didn't go any where for about 3 days. This is the time to be thankful to be retired.
